One of the creature comforts that most vehicles have that the Polaris Slingshot does not, is a glove box light. We've partnered up with Electrical Connection to address this issue with a simple Plug N' Play Glove Box Illumination Kit. This kit simply taps off the 12V power of the cigarette lighter that's already in the glove box. When the ignition is the "on" position the circuit has power and the LED automatically turns on when the glove box is open. The light will automatically turn "off" again when the glove box is closed. The circuit knows whether or not the glove box is "open" or "closed" because of the included tilt switch that comes with the kit. Since we're tapping off the cigarette lighter circuit, the glove box light only has power when the ignition is in the "on" position. So, if you accidentally leave your glove box open and take your key out of the ignition.. the glove box light will power off automatically insuring you don't come out to a a dead battery the next morning.
