Relief for my back I purchased the driver’s backrest to make the ride on my Ryker a bit more comfortable. Yes the Ryker is supposed to be the sporty 3 wheeler but some of us want to still be comfortable without having to go up to a touring model. The Ryker is my around town and errand vehicle so comfort was my top priority. My initial setup was a top case with a backrest pad mounted directly behind me on the max mount. It helped to have something to lean against but it was not all that comfortable. I decided to get a passenger seat for the occasional times I might have someone ride with me and it makes the bike look a bit more complete. Around the same time Slingmods introduced the two up driver’s backrest and it was a no brainer to get it. Installation was simple and I like that it can be adjusted up or down and angled forward or backward. My next project will be to see if I can make it work with the Shad right side saddlebag since it uses the same mounting holes. Think I can make it work with longer bolts. All in all a worthwhile investment.
