Seat actually stays UP now !
Fairly easy to install.. takes a knack to release the lower pin of the strut with a LONG small screwdriver.. but once you have done it once, helping others is easy. The new shock has plenty of lift and the seat really stays up as it should. I installed one on a buddy's spyder rhght after he had the seat drop and give him a nice cut while trying to fill up with fuel. Never again.. new shock solved the issue !

Solved my seat failure to stay up when refueling
Great product. The stock strut/shock would not keep the seat up when I stopped to refuel the bike. I always had to have my wife hold it up if she was with me, our wedge my gloves under the seat to keep it up.

Now, I have no problem. Turn the key, lift the seat, and it stays up! I would highly recommend it to any Spyder owner.
